EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee is a committee formulated to manage the Union, which shall comprise of members elected following a vote amongst the regular members. The Executive Committee shall work to achieve the objectives of the Union and the development of the Union, in a manner that does not contravene the laws and regulations of the Country and the Governing Regulations of the Union. A term shall be a period of 2 (two) years. A member may be elected to the Executive Committee for a total of 2 (two) terms.

GET INVOLVED

VICE-PRESIDENT

The Vice-President ranks below and deputizes for the President, checks and reviews all document, investigates the complaints concerning members and undertakes the overall management and administration of the Union in accordance with the Governing Regulations. The person obtaining the majority votes of all the regular members at the annual general meeting, amongst all persons running for the post of the Vice-President, shall be elected as the Vice-President.

Duties of the Treasurer are as follows:


  1. Managing the financial affairs of the Union.
  2. Where an annual fee is to be collected, managing the annual fee collection from members obligated to pay.
  3. Budget preparation of the Union.
  4. Carrying out financial transactions of the Union.





PRESIDENT

The President shall head the Union, check and review all documents and investigate the complaints concerning members and undertake the overall management and administration of the Union as per the recommendations of the Executive Committee and in accordance with the Governing Regulations. The person obtaining the majority votes of all the regular members at the annual general meeting, amongst all persons running for the post of the President, shall be elected as the President.

Duties of the Secretary General are as follows:


  1. Obtaining the opinions and suggestions of members, pertaining to the concerns of the management of the Union and the affairs of the Union that are submitted to the Executive Committee and deliberated.
  2. Planning and organizing the meetings of the regular members and the meetings of the Executive Committee; and obtaining and maintaining records of the minutes of the meetings.
  3. Managing the membership registry.
  4. In the absence of the President and the Vice-President, performing all their duties in the meetings of the Executive Committee.





SECRETARY GENERAL

Secretary General shall manage all the documentation of the Union and shall be in-charge of the administrative affairs of the Union. The person obtaining the majority votes of all the regular members at the annual general meeting, amongst all persons running for the post of the Secretary General, shall be elected as the Secretary General.

Duties of the Secretary General are as follows:


  1. Obtaining the opinions and suggestions of members, pertaining to the concerns of the management of the Union and the affairs of the Union that are submitted to the Executive Committee and deliberated.
  2. Planning and organizing the meetings of the regular members and the meetings of the Executive Committee; and obtaining and maintaining records of the minutes of the meetings.
  3. Managing the membership registry.
  4. In the absence of the President and the Vice-President, performing all their duties in the meetings of the Executive Committee.





EVENT COORDINATOR

The Event Coordinator shall be in-charge of organizing, planning and managing the events of the Union, as per the recommendations of the Executive Committee. The person obtaining the majority votes of all the regular members at the annual general meeting, amongst all persons running for the post of the Event Coordinator, shall be elected as the Event Coordinator.

Duties of the Treasurer are as follows:


  1. Managing the financial affairs of the Union.
  2. Where an annual fee is to be collected, managing the annual fee collection from members obligated to pay.
  3. Budget preparation of the Union.
  4. Carrying out financial transactions of the Union.





TREASURER

The Treasure shall be in-charge of the financial affairs of the Union, in accordance with the Governing Regulations of the Union. The person obtaining the majority votes of all the regular members at the annual general meeting, amongst all members running for the post of the Treasurer, shall be elected as the Treasurer.

Duties of the Treasurer are as follows:


  1. Managing the financial affairs of the Union.
  2. Where an annual fee is to be collected, managing the annual fee collection from members obligated to pay.
  3. Budget preparation of the Union.
  4. Carrying out financial transactions of the Union.





SPOKESPERSON

The Spokesperson shall be in-charge of all the communications of the Union, as per the recommendations of the Executive Committee. The person obtaining the majority votes of all the regular members at the annual general meeting, amongst all persons running for the post of the Spokesperson, shall be appointed/elected as the Spokesperson.

Duties of the Secretary General are as follows:


  1. Obtaining the opinions and suggestions of members, pertaining to the concerns of the management of the Union and the affairs of the Union that are submitted to the Executive Committee and deliberated.
  2. Planning and organizing the meetings of the regular members and the meetings of the Executive Committee; and obtaining and maintaining records of the minutes of the meetings.
  3. Managing the membership registry.
  4. In the absence of the President and the Vice-President, performing all their duties in the meetings of the Executive Committee.





ASSOCIATE OFFICER

Associate Officer shall be in-charge of, and represent, all the associate and youth members. The person obtaining the majority votes of all the regular members at the annual general meeting, amongst all persons running for the post of the Associate Officer, shall be appointed as the Associate Officer.

Duties of the Treasurer are as follows:


  1. Managing the financial affairs of the Union.
  2. Where an annual fee is to be collected, managing the annual fee collection from members obligated to pay.
  3. Budget preparation of the Union.
  4. Carrying out financial transactions of the Union.
