We’ve met with the youth minister, Ahmed Mahloof, on the 23rd of July 2020, to collect the certificate of registration for the Musicians Union of Maldives. Those who went to collect the certificate on behalf of the union were two of the three founding members, Nishfa Nashid and Mahran Majid. Ahmed Shiham, the third founding member was unable to attend, therefore Mira Majid attended in his stead.

We’d like to thank everyone who helped us get to this point but the work has only just begun. We are very excited to launch our website and open for membership registration at https://www.musiciansunion.mv.
The plans for the first Annual General Meeting (AGM) are in progress, meanwhile, we would like to give you all the time to go through our Governing Regulations and become a member of this union.
We would also like to remind you again to let us know whether you would like join the team and become a member of the first Executive Committee.
