Musicians’ Union of Maldives holds its 3rd Annual General Meeting

Musicians' Union of Maldives (M.U.M) has elected a new Vice-President and Public Relations Director for the Union at their 3rd Annual General Meeting held on the 16th of February 2022.

Moosa Athfal, (Belle) an active member of the music community since childhood; Co-Founder and Bassist of “a chord n’ a dream” and “Ocellete” was elected as the new Vice-President of the Union.

Aminath Shua Shujau (Aina) an academic in the field of communications and media; former Spokesperson for M.U.M, was re-elected for the board in the new role of Public Relations Director.

The meeting involved President of the Union, Ahmed Shiham presenting an Annual Report highlighting the Accomplishments of the Union so far and outlining the Ongoing and Upcoming Events and Programs of the Union.

A Financial Report of the past year was also delivered by Treasurer Ahmed Aimon Latheef.

The meeting proceeded with an open discussion for all members and concluded with closing remarks made by the newly elected Board Members and President of the Union, Ahmed Shiham.

The Union would also like to acknowledge the contributions made by former Board Members – Mifrah Abdul Muhaimin (Events Coordinator) and Fathmath Afaneen Nafil (Associate Officer) in their respective roles and thank them for their continuous support to the Union.
